Our History:
1977- Cathy Kavounas opens Heritage Real Estate at 4095 Tilghman St in Allentown with an
initial staff of five agents, including husband, Nick Kavounas
1979- Bethlehem branch office opens
1983- Heritage Real Estate becomes an affiliate of Coldwell Banker, a national powerhouse
1983- Heritage Mortgage, Inc. is founded to provide financing options for customers
1984- Easton branch office opens
1984- Sister-company, Associated Abstract, Inc., is founded to provide title insurance &
settlement services
1985- Cathy Kavounas forms Lehigh Valley Real Estate Institute, offering pre-licensing,
broker, and continuing education courses
1986- Heritage Insurance Group, Inc., started by Kim Roth, forms an alliance with
Coldwell Banker Heritage
1988- Quakertown branch office opens
2005- Phillipsburg, NJ branch office opens
2009- Heritage Mortgage Team, LLC forms joint venture with Wells Fargo to expand
mortgaging options for customers
